I don’t want to get into the politics but I guess I am by responding but for good reason I don’t want to state who I am but I was asked to judge the final – I’m from Melbourne- but got told that someone else had been selected after I confirmed. So I guess they didn’t support the people they asked but then took it back.

Also travel and prize money are not incentives for crews – Melb has enough comps here to be satisfied with and the fact that there weren’t enough crews for LC to happen in Melb (hence why it got cancelled) clearly states that there is no market for such an event.

Since we are all here for the dancers could someone please list the rankings – I’m not the only person who has asked on this forum and been ignored.

i am a close friend of the dancer and he passed out because he was sleep deprived and tired even before the event started as i spoke to him. So please dont talk on behalf on other people. Sorry because thats my mate and i dont want him beign involved especially if he didnt put the blame on the event or the staff,

i think everyone needs to just stop now. we all know now that it wasnt all nojons fault but we also know they could of improved on some things. i dont believe crews wont enter again they didnt place but more of the fact they didnt get the organisaion they wanted. everyone needs to stop comparing groove and looze cause they are both very different. i am a dancer tha was there and some things were just suprisingly dissapointing but i too now know they cant be fully blamed. i dont think melbourne is coming across as sour about the placings, i understand their opinions. everyone needs to remember why we dance… for the love. what is done is done. if the dancers i know who didnt place and werent happy woth the event can get over it i think everyone here can too. lets hope nojon takes this as stimulus to improve next year. well done to all the dancers who performed amazingly!

Well, does this mean that no one is trying to be accountable for their stuff ups?

Both organizations are passing the buck… that Undefeated says its Nojons fault, and Nojon is saying its Undefeated who failed the event – but don’t u guys discuss your event together before going into partnership?

You guys are unorganized, unprofessional and clearly not cut out for this. If you advertised Looze Control with Jabba on the flyer – yet Jabba fails to make even an appearance at your dance event – that is plain and simple : false advertising. Any customer can sue you kents.

Be accountable for it. And for their staff, its your show, not any other company ran the day but the two in question. You ain’t getting the blame – its your superiors that have to face up.

Because I understand the JABBAWOCKEEZ show were excellent in Melbourne and Brisbane – yet the Sydney organizers stuffed it up.

I dont believe nojon or undefeated have put the blame on anyone. the comments here are statements of people who are anonymous. At no stage has either party made an official statement from them directly. I dont think we should say that they are blaming eachother until they have themselves made a statement officially as a company.

what we have at this forum are peoples opinions and their belief of what happened. And by all means their opinions are respected. I dont think either company has said it is the other person fault, its the people in this forum who are saying that is this companys fault and then another person is saying its this companys fault.

In regards to the melbourne show. I dont know if you know but many people made complaints that it was only a 20 min show their aswell. Many people wanted refunds. again, there are many mixed opinions. Fair enough everyone has their say. however i think we should not talk for the companys but talk only on our behalf.

i was in one of the melbourne crews, and apart from the venue, and various disappointments
it was an awesome show in respects to the effort that all the crews put in
however, it was clearly stated that the stage was fit for up to 25 people
bullshit! we weren’t even near that number, and we had people half way off the stage…
secondly,
i am questioning the motive for bringing “America’s Best Dance Crew” to Australia
if the participating dancers weren’t even given a priority to see Jabba
i’m sure the judges and staff were given priority, why werent we?
we are the reason why looze control happened…
and yet other non-dancers and non-participants were lined up in hundreds
while we all got pushed out the door and showed to the end of the queue
shows how appreciative the organisers, despite our participation and effort and expenses
we even brought family and friends who were all disappointed by the chaos and empty promises
if i didnt know any better, i’d say the main organisers were after nothing but making money (this does not include staff!)
so its hard not to feel some resentment

Ok, now I have read all the comments and hope the organisers at NOJON take note and use the feedback to make Looze Control what should be a great comp.

As a parent I too was a little annoyed at the lack of organisation of the event but as I travelled from Melbourne to support my daughters crew and the other Melbourne Crews…………………which were fantastic.

Now as for Jabba, I as a spectator would rather spend my money on the amazing dance crews we have here in Australia, the likes of Psyke, Doppelgaggers, DVP (Melb Crew) just to name a couple would be worth the money for real entertainment and the open divsion blew me away so thanks to all the crew because amist all the bullshit I really enjoyed myself.

I would hope that Melbourne crews would compete in Looze Control again because if they get it right then it would be a fantastic comp.

Personally for me, I’ll spend my money on the dance crews we have here in the land down under, Jabba just does not do it for me and some good did come out of Sydney…………………Melbourne Juniors took out 1st place………………GO D’STRUCT and I met new people and had a good laugh.

NOJON next time keep it real for the dancers coz that’s who it is all about, without the dancers, you have no Looze Control.

It’s probably because they were the last crew on. Usually if the Judges think they are the best crew that night, they can give a give a better score since they’ve taken 1st place anyway. If they were first on, then things would have been different. The judges would have been more conservative to allow other potential better performing crews to score better or worse.

i watched judges score cards get collected after every performance because i sat behind the judges.
pfftt.. pen happy? lol.
scores were averaged.
so yes. all rankings are well deserved

hello!!! yes they are good and the ranking is deserved……. Im saying their score is too high compared to the rest… Seriously up in the 9’s you need to flippin’ rolling on some heavey stuff to do that…. and I know scores are averged…. plzzzzzz
