RIP Greg Campbellock Jr

Greg Campbellock Jnr has very recently passed away.

Greg Campbelock Jnr. is one of the most famous figures in the history of locking and funkstyle dance. Member of the legendary locking group “The Lockers” he is the pioneer and originator of many of the locking movements and steps performed worldwide today. His knowledge of the dance was unrivaled and his experience of the times and history of locking make him one of it’s greatest teachers. With years of experience, countless performances, battles, events and shows in his long career he taught locking dance all around the world. The teacher to famous entertainers such as Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson and Usher as well as amazing and talented lockers from all over the world such as Originality Lockers, Hiro Sakuma, Sugapop, Gemini and P-Lock.

Greg came down to Australia around April of 2009 to some of the funnest and funkiest classes the country has seen. He blessed everybody in his presence with much knowledge and inspiration, and holds a special place for many of us in Australia.

    Truth is sometimes bitter and this is one of those cases. Just heard about this loss, and it did hit me hard. Only because… only because I was planing to ask him for my workshops in Belgium. We got to know each other for very short, but his energy stayed till now and will stay forever, I believe. He last told me : Magic, my bro… when are you going to do the thing in Belgium? don’t forget me…. he…. .
    Sad. I will miss him really. But not much, cos his soul is around. Peace with him. Magic
